Today in the beginning of class we really focused on important and basic words. Like the days of the week. Just like in French Greece's first day of the week is on Sunday. Then we figured out how to count to ten in Greek. This will come in handy for when working with money and basic getting around. We also went around in a discussion a few times asking what important words we would like to learn.
During grade school through high school I learned French and today I still know a good amount of it. I feel as though Greek is a lot more difficult than when I learned French. I hope to learn this month basic Greek, just as a way to get around. I am still so surprised by all the people who speak English here and how the majority of signs are in English. The last of the language portion of class we went over words related to money. This will be a good way to understand how to speak about money.
The next portion of class we discussed about the State of Greece. We discussed about the government and executive power, the parliament and how many members there are and the Judiciary. All together we summed up with how Greece and Southeastern Europe are a very important place for energy. I am curious to expand on this later.
